PRESS RELEASE dtd 14 JULY 2005 : TERRORIST ATTACKS IN LONDON CONDEMNED

PRESS RELEASE : 14 JULY 2005
TERRORIST ATTACKS IN LONDON CONDEMNED

STATEMENT REGARDING LAST THURSDAY’S TERRORIST ATTACKS IN LONDON

DHAKA, 14 JULY 2005 : “We generally endorse and agree to the statement of Muhtaram Pope Benedict XVI in which he expressed his ‘profound grief over the atrocious terrorist attacks in London last Thursday’ and called for prayers ‘for those killed, for the injured and for their loved ones,’ and invited people to pray ‘for the perpetrators of the attack: may the Lord touch their hearts’ and said, ‘to those who nourish feelings of hatred, and to those who carry out such repugnant terrorist acts I say: God loves life, which He created, and not death. Stop, in God's name.’

We do not believe that Osama Bin Laden ordered the attack on the Twin Towers, or he is behind the latest attacks in London. The 9/11 attacks on Pentagon and Twin Towers were either super-natural incidents or might have been organized by interest group inside American Airlines / NASA / US intelligence. The perpetrators of latest attacks in London are either the enemies themselves or may be some deviated members of Muslim community who do not care about the values, principles and limits provided by Allah and His vicegerents in the Islamic Shariah.

In an armed conflict Islamic Shariah allows believer Muslims to attack armed enemies. Islamic Shariah does not permit indiscriminate attack on unarmed civilians of nations ruled by enemy governments. We do not know the identity of the actual perpetrators. We do not believe what the enemy governments and enemy media are propagating.

We are in an age of explosives and fire arms. In an armed conflict today, neither parties can totally avoid collateral damages. But only the coward inhuman evil cruel criminals can fix civilian soft targets for attacks in a way initiated by the US Government at the end of 2nd World War when they chose the civilians of Japan as their soft target for Atom Bombs. Those who believe in Allah and obeys Him and His vicegerents, are careful in these regards. Believers are not egoist. To err is human. If a believer commits any mistake, he repents and corrects himself. He does not boast of his sins. But unfortunately there are rulers and governments in today’s world who boast of their sins.”
